My love, Lil, and I have only watched a total of about 15 minutes of TV since Trump was confirmed elected, which was just hours after the polls closed on 11/5/2024. Almost all the prognosticators and pollsters, including me, got it all wrong! Nate Silver, who runs fivethirtyeight.com, who aggregates polls to obtain their average, remarked before the election that many of the I’ll call them “Harris” polls he tabulates were inaccurate, biased towards Kamala Harris, and that he’d eat his hat (or something like that) if she won. Trump won and Harris “disappeared.” So are almost all the lawsuits against Trump. Only E. Jean Carroll got him after he “got” her. We jumped from one world into another: Biden to Trump! Meanwhile, the TV network MSNBC is on shaky ground, having lost maybe 20,000 tons of viewers. NBC dropped its linkage with MSNBC, named after “NBC.” Will MSNBC go under? Renamed the DODOBIRD network?

A post on X asked each of its readers, “Describe Donald Trump” in one word. I chose “Unusual.” There are many pejoratives or euphemisms I could have chosen, i.e., his second administration will be nothing if not un”usual”: different, striking — and perhaps necessary.
