Nikki Haley is “stuck in second place” in the Republican primary race against Trump. Will she quit? I think not.

Donald Trump runs the Republican Party for now, and that is that. Haley knows she’ll even do relatively poorly (34%?) in her home state, South Carolina, on 2/24. She doesn’t have the time and money to campaign relentlessly in the remaining 49 states’ primaries like she and DeSantis did in Iowa. The Trump juggernaut goes to the polls no matter what, and many of the other voters couldn’t care less about either Trump or Biden, not enough to go out of their way.

Haley might secretly suspect Trump’s legal troubles will drown him, inch him down and down in the primaries. Note: the General Election’s voters range across the political spectrum, and the General Election’s results may not look at all like the extremists that support and pull the balance Trump’s way in the Republican primaries. The election booth, when you vote, is like a secret ballot. Elections sometimes upend expectations.

From now on, watch Biden and Trump trade jabs. It will be like a boxing match: in rounds. By the time it’s over, you’ll wish you were on another planet. Biden will go after issues, Trump for blood and issues. The doors of senility will swing wide open.
