Trump has bragged he has $400,000,000 cash on hand to pay NY courts judgments. I “get” that the real amount of cash he has is $100,000,000. NY courts will have to place some or all of his NY properties into the courts’ receivership until the judgments are satisfied. I can’t see Trump selling them on his own.

If, instead, he appeals, he’ll have to meet bond to or near the amount of the judgment against him in each court, with little hope that the appeals courts will rule in his favor.

I had predicted that the combined money bill for the border, Ukraine, and Israel (?) wouldn’t pass until February, when Ukraine was about to be overrun by Russia. It’s allegedly a bipartisan bill.

In its present form, will it pass the House?

Yes. A few Republicans will vote with all the Democrats.

Will it pass the Senate?

No! It would take 60 votes in the Senate for the bill to escape filibuster. It will be hard to find 10 Republicans that will vote for the bill against Trump’s wishes. There are 50 Republican senators.

The senators who will vote against it are ready to filibuster it to death, on orders from Trump.

When will it please both parties enough to pass?

Very late in February. Ukraine will be desperate by then.
