Mr. Smith [Walz] Goes to Washington? By Gene W. Edwards. Posted 8/9/2024.
Tim Walz (pronounced walts) is now Harris’s running mate. He just Walzed in out of nowhere; 71% of voters, including me, never heard of him until lately. I expected Shapiro — but if it Walzes like a duck, seems like a modest duck, and talks like a populist duck, it’ll Walz with Kamala, and not to Shapiro’s swan song, at the end of the day. It’s not over until some “Farmer John” type appears out of nowhere and sings, “I’m going to Washington!” Frank Capra stuff. Is it a farmer that allegedly can bring down the house of the money grubbers and give America back, back, to the people, the working people? (It’s all in the packaging.”)

He probably won’t campaign much, or effectively, for Kamala, which would make her guilty by weak association. Obama will have to fill in. Biden has a mixed legacy of big legislative wins and concerning losses. The people are tired of war and of our stuttering economy, one on a roller coaster of dashed hopes scantly offset by inchy progress.
Walz’s net worth is a mere $50,000, avers Celebrity Net Worth. What?! How could he be good for business? He’s even poorer than Kevin McCarthy is, and Bernie Sanders was. He’s not personally in it for the money, that’s for sure.
He did such good job as governor in Minesota, why couldn’t he bring his earthy wisdom to…
