Trump is age 77, and Biden will be 80 years old on 10/20 this year. He’ll be 84 before he goes out of office if he wins a second term. Biden is so old he (mis)remembers the American Revolution. Trump is trying to start one. He forgot the first one.

When brilliant Robert Hur, formerly thought of as a likely Supreme Court member, interviewed Joe Biden about Biden’s mishandling of several classified documents, Hur pointedly said at several points in his report that Biden shows signs of senility/forgetfulness and is not very aware of what is around him, shows cognitive decline.

Then Hur used all that as an excuse to say Biden should not be charged for mishandling classified documents because his violation was, in large part, attributable to cognitive lapses rather than his being a man of careless habit or disrespectful of our nation’s secrets. It was more like, “He forgets ‘A’ on the way to ‘B’, implying, “He’s too old to be running for president again!”

Hur is allegedly of conservative mind and his comments were understood by Democrats as a deliberate effort to paint Biden as too out of it to be president. The Republicans, on the other hand, really wanted Hur’s investigation to paint Biden as careless with classified materials as Trump allegedly was and therefore Biden should be prosecuted in like manner.

Hur placed himself in a double bind; he will never reach higher office. I assume…
