My Predictions Regarding the Republican Iowa Caucus, just about a month from now. By Gene W. Edwards. Posted 12/19/2023
Ramaswami 2%
DeSantis 13%
Chris Christy 14%
Haley 23%
Trump 48%
All four not-Trump candidates together 52%
“Too many men [and women] on the field!”
How many, who endorsing the four other candidates, would vote for Trump in the General Election?
65%; and that’s not a winning percentage.
How many of the 52% would vote for Joe Biden?
1%.
How many voters, in all, would not vote for Trump at all, would not vote for president at all?
34%. That’s how the electorate feels about Trump — voting for Trump — and about this election coming up.
The above suggests some, or three!, of the four must quit for Haley to be able to compete with Trump. That could give Haley 52% to Trump’s 48%. If either DeSantis or Christy would quit right away, Haley would have much more of a chance to grab the Republican nomination down the line.
*****.
It’s apparent Biden will be the Democrats’ candidate in the primary.
How many Democrats, by percentage, will sit out the election who usually vote?
