There are 221 Republicans in the USA House, 213 Democrats, and one vacancy. George Santos will be thrown out of the House this week if two-thirds of congressmen, or more, vote him out; that’s 289 or more votes, 213 Democrats and 76 or more Republicans out of 221 Republicans.

If the House of Representatives throws him out this week, NY will soon have to schedule a special election for his seat. If it is won by a Democrat, that would make 214 Democrats in the House and 220 Republicans, a difference of only six seats. It’s just as likely, though, that a Republican would win Santos’s seat = 213 Democrats and 221 Republicans in the House again, after the special election.

The public is watching how all this plays out, including the people in Santos’s U.S. representative for New York’s third congressional district, who have had it with Santos and Republicans.

Similar to legislative dimwit Tommy Tuberville in the Senate, George Santos, full of character flaws, is a millstone around the neck of the Republicans in the House — a joke, one that could cost them the House on 11/5/2024. In truth, the present House is so dysfunctional, there is no way the Republicans will hold the House in 2024. Each Republican in the House will have to weigh the odds (consequences) when voting for or against Santos and have that become a campaign issue against them, particularly representatives from New York.
