From now until the election, we’ll be bombarded with non-stop bombast from Harris and Trump about how evil, ugly, and toxic the other one is, and their anti-American program. It’ll be a “So are you!” back-and-forth of exaggerations, stereotypes, and a kind of gladiator war between the two candidates. Which one will be left standing? I’m hardly saying Trump is blameless in all this! — but the whole ordeal becomes quite tiresome, like an endless camel trip through the heat and emptiness of the American political Sahara.

The Democrats will entertain with you with their middle-class agenda. Whatever you want, and they want, will come to you: child-care, free school breakfasts and lunches, lower taxes, cheap or free pharmaceuticals, abortion freedom, the pinon beating of the Trumpy Richie Riches, and the American Dream entirely fulfilled for you in just one day: November 5, 2024.

“Mean”while, I mean meanwhile, the Republicans will flay and skin their overpopulated, illegally and omni-voting, Demoncrat nemeses, this battering led by J. D. Vance excoriating the Left for the human error of their endless welfare state and no-more-need-to-work profligate indulgences. All of them are communists, fascists, or socialists, or all three.
