I can’t even imagine what mayhem will accompany Trump’s second term, so I’ll turn my intuition loose on the subject. As follows:

Once again, we are promised bread and circuses. Will Trump be able to pull it off?

“Trump can convince his own of anything! The rest are stuck with the ride. Study Trump’s personality. He is relentless in his purposes. Trump believes he can do no wrong. Why the USA voted for him is, the USA wants a powerful leader capable of pursuing fearless, appropriate, agendas on the world stage. Trump himself is a consummate con man and promoter, and only a semi-able businessman, with many business and political failures and deficits, particularly of character. Still, he gets what he wants. No small part of what you see from him — his instincts — in this blog is overdue as policy! Thus, I have too negatively assessed those who voted for him. The Biden/Harris politics were getting us nowhere. A sea change was required. It’s too bad a Trump-type would head it, but this administration might still exceed Harris’s prospects in overall performance. Trump will take policy in a radically different direction, including in his authoritarian dictates. We were heading into war and poverty. He might extricate us from both.
