As an amateur stand-up comedian for a few years in the past, I’m always looking for and appreciating good comedy. I had become good friends with Roseanne Barr at that time, whom I miss. Well, I’ve settled on two brief samples of comedy that are priceless!

For a whole comedy film, to me by far the best is Jim Carrey’s Ace Ventura, Pet Detective. I’ve seen it maybe 200 times.

The second clip to hear is by Billy Crystal again, teamed up with British-royalty actor Christopher Haden-Guest, 5th Baron Christopher Guest. To us that sounds like a joke in itself.

Anyway, the clip is from Saturday Night Live. It features those two as total nerds — off-the-charts nitwits — with total-nerd voices, recounting their miseries from self-inflicted wounds.
