My better half, Lil, and I were sick over Christmas. Someone gave her the flu and someone gave me a cold. This is, after all, a season of giving.

In turn, not knowing what else to do with our maladies, we also considered that this is a season of giving and we regifted both diseases, gave them away. Will you be the lucky recipients of one of our gifts?! Back “Aaa.cch.ooo!” too.

I complained in a previous blog that there is hardly any “Christ”mas in Christmas anymore. It’s all seasonal stuff plus Santa Claus. It’s about reindeer, snow, mistletoe, horse-drawn sleighs, merchants making their entire yearly profit over Christmas by running ads since before Halloween, and surface cheer, even if you’re alone.

Christmas is really about the birth and life of Jesus Christ. I do appreciate manger scenes, and have written you about what probably really happened, which is deserving of unutterable awe!

Next year, before decorating, sending out cards, etc., how about exclusively listening to and singing real Christmas Christian music, sending out Christian cards, and decorating your place with exclusively Christian Christmas subject matter?

You can also thank your new calendar that marks, from the above, the beginning of A.D., “the Christian era.”

Yeah, I know. They say Christianity is a wonderful idea that’s never been tried yet. How about we individually…
