Two days from now, Trump and Biden will debate for two hours or more. It’ll be Captain Chaos vs. a political old-timer who is apparently an advocate of Big, and oppressive, Government. Meanwhile, just 18 days from now, the former will be sentenced. after being convicted for the 34 felonies that got him elected in 2016. Jail? (Probably.). Home confinement? Probably.

Who will Trump choose as his VP in mid-July? Rumored: J. D. Vance, Marco Rubio, or Doug Burgum. It may be none of those. A woman, a black, or a brown? Stefanik? J. D. Vance would be the obvious choice. Trump always prefers drama and surprise, and he will want absolute loyalty from his running mate.

What the Republicans underestimate is the abortion issue, which galvanizes women. Trump is singly responsible for the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The Dems could turn senators, representatives, mayors, governors . . . and an ex-president out of future office over Republican abortion restrictions. If we had full abortion now, the mothers of all those kinds of people would not have wanted them and we wouldn’t have to deal with them jaspers when they got old enough to rule us.

The second big issue is the economy. It’s not how the stock market is doing. It’s all about this: does your income vs. expenses go farther under Biden or did you have more under Trump? Many are living from check to check, are having to cut corners to make…
