2,429 delegates will go to the Republican convention, July 14–18, to nominate their selection to be on the General Election ballot for president, that election being on 11/5/2024. It will take a MIRACLE for Nikki Haley to garner half that many delegates plus one, 1,215 delegates. Most states’ Republican party will only have Trump and Haley on the primary ballot and it is usually winner take all. For instance, if Haley wins 48% of the votes in a state, Trump 52%, in a state that is awarding 50 delegates to the Republican convention, she’ll receive no delegates, not 24, and Trump will win all 50 because he won the majority of all votes cast.

That dog don’t hunt! What I’m saying is, by sometime in March, March 19 at the latest, Trump will 100% have his nomination locked up . . . unless a miracle takes place. Miracle? (1) Trump’s legal troubles drown him, in Republican votes’ eyes. (2) Democrats, independents, and disaffected Republicans come in droves to the Republican primary in their states to vote for Haley, not Trump, or Biden, not a Republican in states with open primaries. (3) If one or two billionaires pour one or two billion dollars into ads against Republicans, they could change the political landscape of the Republican primaries and/or ensure Trump’s non-electability this fall. Unless all three of these wishes are granted in time, we’re stuck with Trump!
