What is Trump’s Family Thinking?
By Gene W. Edwards.

I intuitively evaluated for you what Trump is thinking. Now I will examine how Melania and Trump’s kids are taking all this. None of them were in the courtroom in Manhattan on Tuesday, indictment day, 4/4/2023.
Here goes:
Melania is shamed by Trump’s behavior, spends little time with him. She’s usually in NYC, he in FL. Her respect for him is gone. Ex-wife soon enough. She’ll see Stormy Daniels, etc., on the stand, before millions. She doesn’t want to ever be seen with Trump again. She is only married to him now because of their son Barron, now 17 years old. She would not want to remain married to Trump if he is in prison for several years. Quick divorce. Trump tests her patience.
As for the Trump children:
Barron was supposed to carry on the Trump legacy of money and power, being the youngest. The Trump family: all humiliated by the indictments, fear jail for Trump next. Upper class status evaporating. Trump death coming up. His family valued high status and newsworthiness are diminishing by the day. The two older sons fear Trump lawsuits emptying Trump-family pockets, nothing left but rich marriages. Utter humiliation. You will see members of the Trump family in court over frauds. Watch the value of the Trump family fade. You [me] are right. Death of an empire.
Anything else regarding these matters?:
This will be a long year for all the Trumps. Watch them fade from view as movers and shakers. I still feel Trump will not be alive much longer, not past this year. Watch his public humiliation, much of it on camera. Watch Trump lose all composure as he lashes out at the law and gag orders. People will stop buying it. Enough already! The Trumps end up near the bottom of the news cycle. Some of the court cases could run through next year!
I am becoming bored by this whole Trump thing, and regard it as a foregone conclusion that Trump will not be able to evade the long arm of the law. He will be sentenced to years in the slammer. His face showed it in court at his indictments in Manhattan on 4/4, the unforgettable photo taken of him there. He is now under a microscope, like a bug, one under Klieg lights peering into every construct of his personality and its expressions, his deeds. The quote from the Bible is, “Be sure your sins will find you out.” No matter what your political party, or pretension you are genuinely a political independent or Libertarian, or what you think about the law cases against Trump, you will see Trump and the Trump empire inextricably crumble over a period of the next few months. In the end, in the eyes of most, both here and around the world, the luster of the Trump name will fade from platinum to tin and, as with all of us — “From “Dust thou art, to dust returneth” — you can’t take it with you, particularly money and immoral power. All that can endure is the quality of your character.
In the long view: Donald Trump, for four straight years, kept us out of any new war, albeit he ineptly mostly completed the process of getting us out of Afghanistan. Trump celebrated our national sovereignty and didn’t believe we should be in alliances leading to war or in which we are exploited, paying far than our fair share, though he did little about either, just talked about it — but then we come to the insurrection, which was over the top, unforgiveable. He is our only president who tried to topple our government from within and substitute himself. Trump is now a pitiable character, big wins behind him, big losses in front.
Below, I will quantify some questions we all have:
Are the 34 felony counts in Manhattan legally and appropriately justifiable, and will they be sustained into convictions in court?: 100 (a solid case).
Will the case result in a plea bargain? No. Trump won’t allow it. Implies jail.
Is the case political, in Manhattan, a Democrat stronghold, from a D.A. elected to his office as a Democrat?: I get that the case is 1/3rd political, politics enters into it.
Could/will that drown the case?: No.
Is Bragg going for broke, 34 felonies, partly to punish Trump for threats on Bragg’s family and him, incendiary threats/coercion?: Again, 1/3rd over the top, sending a message, “Lay off!”
Should some or all of the 34 counts only been misdemeanors?: All tied together, wider criminality. Sustainable.
Will the jury be amply convinced of the 34?: No, but sufficiently convinced.
Result?: Wouldn’t matter. The feds and Georgia get Trump (soon).
What is the likely legal result of the Manhattan D.A.’s case, after a jury fully hears it?: Watch a guilty verdict on all charges, and a three-year jail sentence — but I suspect Trump dies in 2023, thereby nullifying all ongoing legal proceedings, convictions, the jailing of him, and a divorce. That’s one turnip, I mean Trump, in which there is no blood!
Will Trump countermand or fire part or all of his legal team?: Yes, countermand/ignore.
Will any of them quit?: No. Trump HAS TO have them. Delay, delay, delay, etc.!
In the background: is Merrick Garland, our Attorney General, applauding the whole process?: No. He just lets the law find its truth. It assuredly is not a personal vendetta with him, or a steppingstone either.
Anything else? Democracy is upheld, tyranny denied. USA cleansed. Trump era ended. Selah.
USA exalted in law, love, and truth. A shining moment . . . in time.
Love,
Gene
