The day Oswald shot John F. Kennedy, American changed. America didn’t wake up. Instead, half-conscious America went to sleep. How could a beloved, and talented, American president be shot on the street like a rabid dog? As the years passed, it has become more and more popular among intellectual circles, and others, to believe conspiracy and violence are in America’s very blood . . . and their number one case in point is “evil, rich” Dallas and Texas on 11/22/1963. Who is safe when the rich and powerful, acting in concert in a massive conspiracy, can kill the president and get by with it, huh? Oswald was largely absolved, as a “patsy,” and a whole panoply of wannabe co-conspirators were indicted in the popular mind of America.

*****

Not only was Oswald not rich and powerful. He was a loser and a low life, just like Ruby. He was unskilled and only had a ninth-grade education, was a school dropout. Clearly precocious in some respects, he was barely age 24 when he killed JFK (Oswald 10/18/1939–11/24/1963), as if he had nothing better to do. This whole story is about Oswald, not conspiracy. He was too erratic, dangerous, and unreliable to even keep a job, let alone ever be tapped as a reliable informer for the FBI and/or CIA. For them he was pure “watch list” material — a commie — and they, and Dallas, couldn’t even get that right (see below)!
